Founder's Note

I did not set out to build a skincare brand.
I set out to understand my skin.

For a long time, I was a willing participant in the cycle that defines so much of modern skincare — buying into promises, layering actives, chasing results that felt perpetually just out of reach. My skin was never quite right. Too reactive. Too dry. Somehow both at once. And the more I tried to fix it, the more it resisted.

It was not until I stepped back entirely — removed almost everything and began to observe — that something shifted. The skin, given space and genuine support, had an intelligence of its own. It did not need intervention. It needed care.

That realisation became the foundation of Chèr. Not a brand philosophy born in a boardroom, but a lived understanding that I wanted to offer to others.

Every product we have formulated has been held to a standard I apply first to myself: does this genuinely support the skin, or does it simply promise to? Does it work over time, or only on first impression? Is it something I would reach for each morning and trust, without hesitation?

The relationship we have with our skin is deeply personal.
It evolves with us, reflects our experiences, and carries the effects of everything it encounters.

Chèr was created to honour that relationship, with formulations designed to support skin with patience, intelligence, and respect.

If you are here, you are likely someone who has grown tired of noise — in skincare, and perhaps elsewhere. Someone who wants something quieter, more deliberate, more honest.
